CURRENT INSPIRATIONS
My inspiration comes from what is lurking behind the next corner, in the peripheral vision of pop culture. Tattooing and fine art in general is for me, best visited in a new light; seen through a fresh lens. My love of surrealism, realism, impressionism, and macabre painting has mixed with a love for and appreciation of all styles of tattoo and history and has pushed my artistic style forward into what I create today.
FUN FACT
After a childhood of painting with my artist Grandmother and traveling the country in the carnival business, I got into tattooing sometime after High School. Locally, I have given a lecture on tattoo/art history with Creative Comrades, and organized the Fall Artistry Workshop with the Allied Arts Council. The next event that I am organizing will be the Past/Present/Future art show to benefit local arts education. The art show will feature art on display and for sale from 3 generations of artists, with proceeds going back into our arts in our community.
WHY FIRST FRIDAY?
FF gives our local community a chance for something that we often don’t get to enjoy: a social atmosphere where-in artists can gather to discuss art, projects, and community activities. Artists support artists and together we can help to build the local art community by bringing together older and younger artists and create an environment that can foster new growth of art and love.
